Favourite 2015 Blog Posts

Looking back I cannot believe that I have posted pretty consistently throughout last year. I thought that I would lose interest and energy to keep it up but I have found joy and pleasure in creating a little space for myself. I hope I can keep it up in this new year too but today I would like to mention a few posts that are my personal favourites from last year.

EX1 Invisiwear Foundation Review

The Airbrush Primer by Topshop

Cat Wednesday #20

L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss Review

Which blog posts did you enjoy reading from the past year?

Clearing out stuff

clearing out makeup

I woke up today with a massive dissatisfaction with my surroundings. I just feel like I have allowed myself to go slack and drown myself with a lot of things. I feel like I had enough and I need some space to breathe, I need a space that is clean and has items that are used day to day, not things that “I might need this one day”.

So I decided to do a little bit of tidying up and start proper clearing out beginning with my make up stash. I thought that if I tackle one of my hobbies first then it might be easier to carry on in the next few days and really make a permanent difference. I have decided to chuck out everything that I have not used for a while. My rule was if I have not touched a product in the last 6 to 12 months then I will probably never will again. I actually have thrown away more than what’s in the photo above and feel so good for doing it. I feel lighter with every product going away.

Going forward I want to clear out every aspect of the house – books, clothing, shoes etc. I also want to focus on quality rather than quantity. I hope that when purchasing new products I will keep it only to necessary, valuable things from which I will get my moneys worth rather than give in to too many quick impulse buys.

Wish me good luck guys cause I hope this is not a one off…

Have you ever felt like this? Have you done any clearing out lately?

The New Years post?

It’s a new year and it seems that it is quite a tradition for a lot of people to write a post reflecting on the year that has passed and to think of what might come ahead.

Long time ago I have decided not to make any resolutions on paper or in my head. Let me tell you one thing – resolutions (especially new year ones) don’t work. Maybe it’s the amount of things that we decide should be different that makes us fall in the path of change or the size of them, never making them possible to happen. New year does not make a new start, anything new should start at any moment when you just start doing something differently.

In my life I have only one mantra – I would like to just be happy. When there is happiness then there is piece. Being happy with yourselves, your surroundings and your achievements is what drives positive actions and events. That is what enables you to achieve great things.

Change does not happen just because a clock has counted a new year and let’s be honest – resolutions are quite often overrated. Let us try to just be happy, live in happiness and you will see how things will turn to become different and come true.

What do you think about new years resolutions? Do you have any? Let me know as I’m interested as always.
