The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel

If you are planning on going to any holidays where the sun actually exists and shines on you then make The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel part of the skin care items that you pack with yourself.

I have been traveling now nearly for two months in sunny countries (lucky me!) and this has been such a nice product to have in my arsenal. If your skin gets too sensitive then Aloe gel really helps to calm it down and make sure you have a happy moisturised skin without any redness, after sun caused issues or feeling hot. The bottle comes with a pump so the gel is hygienic to use, therefore really great to travel with. Not to mention that it can be applied onto any part of your body not just your face.

Also, this is great for oily skinned people. I have quite a combination skin and I like to swap my moisturisers on super oily days from creams to gel based products in order to help my skin to calm down. This gel is one of the better ones as it does make your skin feel moisturised without feeling heavy whatsoever. If you have never tried a gel moisturiser then I do recommend to try this, you can mix it in with other moisturisers as well to create your perfect combination.

The Body Shop has so many good gems and I am finding more and more of their products that I use daily. Check out Aloe Soothing Gel next time you are in The Body Shop as I have fallen in love with this more and more.

December Bodycare Empties

My second empties post is all about finished bodycare products with one slight mistake. My previous post was about haircare empties and somehow I managed to miss out one of the products so I have included it here and I will start the post with it:

Tresemme Botanique Hydrating Mist – A really nice hair detangler slash conditioner. I highly enjoyed using it, it’s light on your hair, has a great scent and works well as a detangler. I would definitely get it again especially when on an offer.

Vichy Ideal Soleil After-Sun – It’s a very interesting after sun oil which is made to be used on a dry skin or in a shower. I got it because I am not the biggest fan of spending a lot of time applying moisturisers. I liked using this more as the in shower item, it did leave my skin nicely moisturised and conditioned especially after being in the sun. I have used it all up over summer and summer holidays. As an after sun on a dry skin I found it to be too heavy for my liking. I think I would get this next time when we get towards summer.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Scrub – I had this from last year and took a long time to use it up. I’m not a big scrubs user… I liked using this purely for the scent and I think I should get something else from this range again until it is gone for a year.

Dove Maximum Protection Deodorant in Pomegranate – one of my favourite deodorants. Not much else to say really.

Sanctuary Spa Instant Moisture Spray – my favourite body oil. I love the scent of it, it’s super light and non-greasy on the skin, absorbs quickly but leaves skin feeling well moisturised. This product allows you to moisturise your skin in no time.

What bodycare products do you guys like to use?

An Empty Affair – November Empties

Today I bring you another empty products post. I don’t finish products that often as I like to change and swap quite often but today I have a few which are waiting to be binned. With no further a due here they are:

Maybelline Brow Drama – I’ve had it in a shade dark brown which I thought was quite a good colour match for me. I’m planning to make a brow product post some time soon so I won’t go into too much of a review here. I had it for quite a while and used it nearly every single day until I got something else. Definitely recommend trying this one if you never tried coloured brow setting gel.

Carrying on with the brows I have also finished a brow pencil from Mac in the shade Spiked. I think this is the best brow pencil I have used so far. I like that it has a tiny nib and you just need to twist the packaging to get more product out. (You can’t twist it back down so don’t get too much out at one time as otherwise you will break the nib and will loose some product.) I am currently using an Eylure pencil for my brows and also want to get my hands on the Soap & Glory brow pencil so I might do a post on all of these brow pencils one day. I prefer pencils to powders as it’s easier to work with and for me the pencils give more of a natural result rather than powders do.

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot – has been my go to powder for quite a bit. Just after I got it I was super in love with it and did not look to any other setting powders. However, just when I hit the pan on it I kind of got bored so it will not going to come back into my stash any time soon. Good powder, definitely worth trying it if you haven’t yet.

The Body Shop body moisturiser – this one used to be the Satsuma scented one. Used this one up and I don’t think I will be repurchasing it. I find the Body Shop moisturisers a little bit too thick in consistency for my liking as well as a bit too pricey for what they actually are.

Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara – I’ve heard quite a bit of hype about this mascara but it did not impress me. It did not do anything to my lashes which would make me say “oh yes! this is super good!”. I don’t think I will ever get it again.

Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm – I’ve got this one when I went to Nice and quite enjoyed it. It’s a good one to carry with yourself around the town and does not feel too greasy on the lips. I’ve already have another one with me.

These are the products that I have finished. Have you tried any of them? Do you have any replacement suggestions?
