Sheet Masks Haul in Thailand

I will start with a question, where do you go shopping in Thailand? I am currently staying in the south of Thailand, Phuket, and I am struggling to find good destinations to look for makeup and skincare. Even with this struggle I did manage to snap up some Korean sheet masks that I found in a random pharmacy shop but if anyone knows where to go please hook me up!

I love Korean sheet masks and I found these to be much cheaper here in Thailand than you can get them in UK so it was a total no-brainer to buy them. What do I look for in a sheet masks? They need to moisturising, soothing, preferably without whitening claims if possible and just to be able to help with general skin appearance.

There is not much to say about them apart from that I have been enjoying them. And because they are much more affordable I can actually use them more often which is what one should be doing. I would like to get hold of some more sheet masks and find some makeup which I am yet to discover. Seriously, where do you go? Help!

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel

If you are planning on going to any holidays where the sun actually exists and shines on you then make The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel part of the skin care items that you pack with yourself.

I have been traveling now nearly for two months in sunny countries (lucky me!) and this has been such a nice product to have in my arsenal. If your skin gets too sensitive then Aloe gel really helps to calm it down and make sure you have a happy moisturised skin without any redness, after sun caused issues or feeling hot. The bottle comes with a pump so the gel is hygienic to use, therefore really great to travel with. Not to mention that it can be applied onto any part of your body not just your face.

Also, this is great for oily skinned people. I have quite a combination skin and I like to swap my moisturisers on super oily days from creams to gel based products in order to help my skin to calm down. This gel is one of the better ones as it does make your skin feel moisturised without feeling heavy whatsoever. If you have never tried a gel moisturiser then I do recommend to try this, you can mix it in with other moisturisers as well to create your perfect combination.

The Body Shop has so many good gems and I am finding more and more of their products that I use daily. Check out Aloe Soothing Gel next time you are in The Body Shop as I have fallen in love with this more and more.

Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel Review

I like my face washes to be formulated for sensitive skin. I like anything that does not feel heavy and does not strip out your skin. Sometimes it is hard to fit that all in into a budget friendly product. I must say that Avene does deliver something that ticks all the boxes, their Cleanance cleansing gel is a great product.

You can use Avene cleansing gel to wash your face morning and evening. I use it as my second cleanse in the evenings after I have taken off all my makeup. You get a good amount of product, it has no scent which I like because you really know this is not going to irritate your skin in any way. Also, if you have oily skin this would also be really good for your as there is no soap or any kind of oils to clog your skin.

Cleanance gel is a great little thing to have in your bathroom. If you have tried any Avene products before then you know you will be getting an effective product without any nasty side effects.

H&M Makeup Precision Sponge in Black

Yes, so I got myself another H&M Makeup Precision Sponge. Quite a while ago I got the white one and have really been enjoying using that so I thought that a black one would be a good addition especially as it would look stained less than anything that is white coloured.

This H&M precision sponge is smaller and less bulky than the white counterpart. It also feels a little bit more stiff even after expanding once soaked with water. After trying to use it for a foundation application I realised that I much prefer this for blending out concealer, highlight and contour much more. Because it is thinner it fits in well into all the crevices and face lines where you need to be more precise.

Again, for the price of few quid you can’t complain about this makeup sponge. H&M you really know your game!

December Makeup Empties

The third post of my empties involves makeup products. Can you believe I have finished all of these?! Technically there are a few disappointing products that I am chucking away but most of them as you can see are properly empty things.

Eyeko Fat Brush Mascara – a mascara that did nothing to my lashes. If you like no makeup makeup maybe this one is for you but even if I have very minimal makeup on I want my lashes to stand out so I want my mascara to work for me. I think I am never going to get another Eyeko mascara as I have always been disappointed with them.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – one of my favourite concealers. It’s an amazing product and very affordable. I will for sure get this again.

Eylure Brow Pencil in Dark Brown – I love this eyebrow pencil. It’s hard but not too hard, does not drag on your skin and leaves enough product. It has a spooly on another end so you always have something to brush your brows with. The pencil has lasted quite long so if you want to buy something that you don’t need to re-purchase too quickly then I recommend this brow pencil.

Essence Brow Gel – one of my faves! I will dedicate a post for this product on it’s own. It’s that good!

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner – A great eyeliner, easy to use and is jet black matte.

Gosh Lip Oil – a very interesting lip moisturiser. I’m not sure how hydrating it really was but I loved the texture of the product and kept using it up just because of that.

Bodyshop Honey Bronze Drops – I really liked using this in summer. Not sure if it did give me much of a bronzed look but then I did use it all up, so maybe it did do what it was saying it would?

L’Oreal Slim Line Eyeliner – I liked this felt tip eyeliner, it was black, stayed well on my eyes and very easy to use.

EX1 Invisiwear Foundation in F100 – this is one of my favourite foundations and I wore it on my wedding day. I already have another tube of this magic in my stash.

L’Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist – a good highstreet makeup fixing mist. Good choice when on a budget which I normally am on.

Vichy Dermablend Translucent Powder – I cannot believe that I have used this up. Has anyone ever used up a big tub of translucent powder? I enjoyed using this and even more happy that I have finished it (only because I want to try other things)

L’Oreal Miss Hippy Mascara – one of my most favourite mascaras. It makes your lashes voluminous and dark. This was my mascara choice for my wedding and I need another tube of this goodness. I need to dedicate a post to this mascara.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – I have gone through multiple tubs of this. I use it for spot concealing or when the foundation did not cover enough of my rosacea and I need to add some more coverage for some parts of my face.

Becca Eye Brightening Corrector – I was given this by my friend as she found it did not cover her dark circles enough. I had quite high hopes for this product but I did not like it at all. It’s sticky and thick but not in a good way, it does not correct the blue circles and it makes any concealer crease which does not happen to me normally. It’s not worth the money or the effort in my opinion.

L’Oreal Nude Cushion Foundation – I have finished this quite quickly. I think I will write a separate post on this foundation so wait for my full review.

Phew, I don’t think I have ever managed to finish that many makeup products around the same time. I wonder if I bought them all around the same time and if that’s the case then maybe I should cap in my makeup hoarding….. Emmm… Yeah, not going to happen.

December Bodycare Empties

My second empties post is all about finished bodycare products with one slight mistake. My previous post was about haircare empties and somehow I managed to miss out one of the products so I have included it here and I will start the post with it:

Tresemme Botanique Hydrating Mist – A really nice hair detangler slash conditioner. I highly enjoyed using it, it’s light on your hair, has a great scent and works well as a detangler. I would definitely get it again especially when on an offer.

Vichy Ideal Soleil After-Sun – It’s a very interesting after sun oil which is made to be used on a dry skin or in a shower. I got it because I am not the biggest fan of spending a lot of time applying moisturisers. I liked using this more as the in shower item, it did leave my skin nicely moisturised and conditioned especially after being in the sun. I have used it all up over summer and summer holidays. As an after sun on a dry skin I found it to be too heavy for my liking. I think I would get this next time when we get towards summer.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Scrub – I had this from last year and took a long time to use it up. I’m not a big scrubs user… I liked using this purely for the scent and I think I should get something else from this range again until it is gone for a year.

Dove Maximum Protection Deodorant in Pomegranate – one of my favourite deodorants. Not much else to say really.

Sanctuary Spa Instant Moisture Spray – my favourite body oil. I love the scent of it, it’s super light and non-greasy on the skin, absorbs quickly but leaves skin feeling well moisturised. This product allows you to moisturise your skin in no time.

What bodycare products do you guys like to use?

December Haircare Empties

This is the first instalment of empties posts that I am going to make. I have collected a lot of used up products and I want to not only get rid of them but also write up all of the posts so that I could move on writing other posts. So this is what I have finished using from Haircare:

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Shampoo – ok, so this shampoo… I thought it would be coconut scented but it is not. That was a massive disappointment number one, then it also made me feel like it did not wash my hair very well. I felt like it made my hair greasy rather than washed so honestly I hated using it. I will not purchase this ever again and I can’t believe I used it all up instead of getting rid of it.

Tresemme Botanique Conditioner – A very affordable and great conditioner. At least this one gives a little bit of that coconut scent that I look for in coconut products. I think it worked pretty well to detangle and you get a lot of product so I used it without the need to limit myself on how much product I would like to put on. Would get this one again if I would find it on an offer. (I like my bargains)

Have you guys used these products before? If so, what were your thoughts about them?
